JUNE  8TH        OPEN  DAY        12 till 4

Come and join our guided walks and tours of the wildlife hospital. See how the centre operates, have the chance of seeing fox and badger cubs, watch ducklings and cygnets paddling and dabbling, watch nestlings being hand fed. This is a special day offering the chance to get really close to wildlife. There are also stalls, games, displays, children's activities, teas and barbecue.

 

TRAINING DAYS    2008

 FIRST AID FOR VETS AND VET NURSES        10th  MAY

This will be a full day course, with registration at 10.15, and finishing at approx 4pm.

We will examine the differences encountered in caring for wildlife and domestic animals. Topics covered will include  stress management, fluid therapy, examining the patient, identification and the importance of record keeping.    Cost    HWRT members  £20    non members    £25

 

FIRST AID FOR WILDLIFE        26th APRIL

This full day course will include handling and examining patients, giving fluids and hand feeding, stress management, suitable housing and methods of rehabilitation.        Registration 10.15, finish approx 4pm.

Cost        HWRT members £20        non members £25

 

The following are half day courses. They will run from 2 to 5pm, and cost £10

HAND REARING WILDLIFE                                        24th MAY

HEDGEHOGS---in care and in the wild                            16th AUGUST

OWLS AND RAPTORS---in care and in the wild             12th JULY

WILDFOWL---in care and in the wild                             22nd JUNE

 

BAT CARE followed by a BAT WALK                             14th AUGUST

This event will start at 8pm. Bat Detectors will be available. Cost £10
