How you can help

Hessilhead is an independent charity. Funds are raised through the Membership and Sponsor-a-Patient schemes and through fund raising events.

1    MEMBERSHIP     You can support Hessilhead by becoming a member.

                            Receive two newsletters a year.

   Ordinary membership        £12  a year

   Family membership            £16  a  year

   Make regular donations by standing order

2    Sponsor-a-Patient        see page

3    Volunteer        a    as a daily volunteer (see volunteer page)

                            b    as a resident volunteer (see volunteer page)

                            c    Help with fund raising. This could be helping with stalls at

                                   fetes, shows etc. You could organize your own sponsored          

                                    event or organize a coffee morning, book stall, car boot sale.

                                    We are always looking for new fund raising ideas, and would be

                                   pleased to hear your suggestions.

                             d    Collect used postage stamps, old mobile phones and ink cartridges

4    Volunteer as a driver to bring wildlife casualties to the Hospital

5    Offer your garden/ground/outbuildings as release sites.

        We are often looking for release sites for birds/animals that have been reared in

        captivity, and sometimes for adults that are being translocated, eg Uist Hedgehogs.

        These animals are not pets. They are returning to the wild.

        You help them by providing a temporary shelter and food till they adapt to their
